Six ways to remain fit and healthy
1. Eat the right food: Have baked or steamed food instead of fried food. Include lot of fresh salads and fruits in your diet. Take only one type of fruit at a time. Go for healthy organic products. Go for hand pounded rice instead of white rice. Avoid Maida and white bread instead use whole wheat flour, brown bread and oat bran.
2. Water: Drink lot of water. Drink clean and boiled water.
3. Walk: Whenever you are going somewhere near, make it a point to walk. Go for a walk every morning.
4. Learn something new: Develop a new hobby. It keeps your mind engaged.
5. Yoga and meditation: Yoga is one of the best ways to keep yourself fit and healthy. Meditation calms and relaxes your mind.
6. Clean Habits: Do not take alcohol, smoke or chew tobacco.
Important Health Tips
• Drink 2 - 3 liters of water daily. Prefer distilled/RO water with added minerals. If not possible, drink boiled water. Never drink tap/bore water.
• Do not take your medicines/pills with ICE cold water or with alcoholic beverages or with tea/coffee. Do not lie down immediately after taking any pills (even at night).
• Make a habit of drinking 1 liter boiled/RO water (not cold or hot) in empty stomach at the early morning everyday. Neither drinks nor solid food of any sort should be taken within 1 hour before and after drinking water.
• Avoid drinking lot of water just before sleeping. Also avoid Curd at night.
• Don’t take bath immediately after a meal. Also do not drink LOT of water immediately after a meal.
• Never miss your breakfast; it will damage the brain cells. Working hard or studying with ‘Sickness’ may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain.
• Avoid excessive intake of Dairy products, Cakes, Ice-cream, Snacks, Soups, Sauces, Pickles, Spicy foods, Almonds, Potato, Beetroot, Radish, Peppers and other fatty meats like pork, beef or mutton.
• Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables.
• Avoid using Coconut Oil or Palm Oil for Cooking, Prefer Sunflower Oil/Corn Oil to fry and Olive Oil for other uses.
• Completely avoid junk foods, fried foods, organ meats, carbonated drinks, chocolates and burgers.
• Do not eat more than one egg a day or avoid yolks.
• Make a habit of eating one or two bananas daily.
• For non-veg.-Prefer a Fish meal at least twice a week and avoid shellfishes. Also avoid Curd on the same day.
• Control your Salt and Sugar intake, unless you are a sports person.
• Avoid Pepsi/Cola products; they are just a mixture of Phosphoric acid, Carbonic acid with Citric acid. If you have bought them, use Cola to remove the ‘Rust’ and Pepsi to clean your vehicle ‘Tyres’. Drinking two Colas per day doubled the incidence of kidney diseases. Drinking more than 2l of cola a day is the better choice to suicide.
• Avoid Pineapple Juice in summer and prefer Orange/ Pomegranate/Apple. Avoid regular intake of Carrot juice, Strawberry juice and Milk shakes. Also prefer a fruit juice in the morning than evening.
• Avoid Starfruit, Jackfruit and Grapefruits.
• Never smoke immediately after a meal. Also avoid smoking at empty stomach and just before sleep. Better avoid smoking at all and excessive alcohol usage.
• If you live in an area with hot weather or where clean water is rare, your odds of getting kidney stones are tripled. Try to avoid exposing your body in direct sunlight unless you are not taking milk/fish regularly. Eating ‘tomato’ is not the reason for Kidney stones - it actually prevents stones and appendicitis. Avoid as much ‘Salt’ and ‘Meat’ instead. Too much Vitamins and Protein may damage your Kidneys and Liver.
• Avoid living with a "Cat”. Prefer a “Snake” instead.
• Prefer left ear to answer the mobile than Right ear.
• Change your toothpaste brand once in a year and brush your teeth twice daily and floss your teeth frequently.
• Play again! Get outside or in the gym and do a little exercise. There are thousands of reasons to exercise but besides feeling better about yourself, you can actually give your body a boast of overall health.
• Do not show sympathy to people selling buds on roadside by buying their ear buds. Those were made from cotton that has already been used in hospitals. They take all the dirty, blood and pus filled cotton, wash it, bleach it and use it to make ear buds. So, unless you want to get Herpes Zoster Oticus (a viral infection of the inner, middle, and external ear) in the ears and that too from a cotton bud, DON'T BUY THEM!
