New VC to stir up things in Saurashtra varsity

RAJKOT: These were some of the announcements made by professor M K Padalia, newly appointed vice-chancellor of Saurashtra University, who assumed office on Thursday after a felicitation.

A former Rajkot district BJP president and former vice-president of city BJP unit, Padalia took charge as VC in the presence of BJP political heavyweights alongside the academics on Thursday. Rural development minister Mohan Kundariya, Rajkot district panchayat president Hanshaben Parghi, former IAS officer Babubhai Ghodasara, city mayor Janak Kotak, former VC of Saurashtra University Kanubhai Mavani, BJP MLAs among others was present on this occasion at the felicitation function.
