Republic Day of India

In India, Republic Day commemorates the date on which the Constitution of India came into force replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India on 26 January 1950. Local schools and offices organize flag-salutation ceremony and all the offices of country have holiday on this day. The main function is celebrated at Delhi. While the main parade takes place in the national capital New Delhi at the Raj path before the president, the anniversary is also celebrated with varying degrees of formality in state capitals and other centers.

To get the freedom our heroic leaders and volunteers fought 1857 revolution, Jaliyawala Bag incident, Non Co-operation activities, ‘Salt’ Rebel and many young people had to go in jail. While some youthful volunteers like Bhagatsinh, Sukhdev and Rajguru became martyr for the sake of country. Gandhiji’s Truth & Non-violence played a major role in the freedom fight.
